Scalp Micropigmentation

Hairloss Treatment for Men & Woman

Scalp Micropigmentation has become an extremely popular hair loss treatment, more commonly referred to as SMP. It involves depositing pigment into skin at a shallower depth than a traditional tattoo. It replicates the natural appearance of real hair follicles, to give the look of a fuller head of hair or a close shave/buzz cut style. SMP is also an effective camouflage to conceal scars, whether from a prior surgical procedure or accident. We only use a black pigment which is much more diluted than typical tattoo inks. For this reason, it won't break down to different colours or look too saturated once it heals.

FAQ

Does it hurt?
While most clients don’t find SMP to be overly painful, there is some level of pain and discomfort felt during the procedure. However, everybody has different pain thresholds. What one client may find painful, another may find slightly uncomfortable. So, your experience will depend very much upon your own pain levels. On the whole, the majority of people who undergo SMP rate the level of pain between 3-5 on a scale of 1-10. So, while it may be unpleasant, you shouldn’t experience a high level of pain. As with general tattooing, there are areas of the scalp that are a little more painful than others to treat. These typically include the temples and the skin just above the ears.

How long does it last?
Typically SMP lasts 4-6 years. During that time, the pigment will naturally fade, so clients are recommended to come in for a touch-up to refresh the colour.

How much does it cost?
The cost of treatment all depends on the area being treated. Our prices range from $300 - $1190 per session. We offer free consultations to give the client an exact treatment plan and cost.

How many sessions do I need?
It will depend on the amount of scalp getting SMP. Even if it’s only for a small area like a widow’s peak, you will still need 3-4 treatments
for long-term retention since SMP is a process of layering colour.
